Jawalamukhi is a very famous pilgrimage town, revered for the gold domed temple that does not house idol. Instead the eternal goddess here is manifest in a natural blue flame emanating from holy rock sanctum that has been burning so for centuries. Shaktipeeth legends hold Jawalamukhi as the place where the half burnt tongue of Sati fell. The great Mughal emperor Akbar in circa. 16th century walked to pay obeisance at Jawalamukhi and Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab in the 19th century gilded the temple dome in gold.

Day 2 : Chintpurni

After lunch proceed to Chintpurni and pay obeisance to goddess. Evening tea, dinner and over night stay at The Chintpurni Heights, Bharwain.

Chintpurni (975 m) on the Shivalik ranges in lower Himalayas, Chintpurni is a popular Shaktpeeth pilgrimage centre. Here Chinnimasika Devi - The Goddess without a Head is worshiped in an anthropomorphic form. The headless `Pindi’ of the Devi is worshiped at this temple that was built in 15th century. The associated Shaktipeeth legend holds that it was the severed feet of Sati which fell at Chintpurni and gave birth to this holy shrine. The auspicious `Navratra’ days in March-April and September-October attract thousands of pilgrims to Chintpurni from all over the country.

Day 3 : Chamunda Ji

Chamundaji is a famous pilgrimage place where many descend to pay obeisance to the presiding goddess. With Dhuladhar ranges sheltering the temple complex on three sides, the fourth one opens out into a wooded valley with scenic settings. A temple dedicated to warring deity Chamundaji is located on the right bank of river Baner (also called Banganga), a tributary of river Beas. Holy waters of Baner have been converged into a man made bathing ghat for pilgrims to take a holy dip in. A temple glorifying Lord Shiva as Nandikeshwar in the temple complex is equally revered.
